Engineering Mechanics Corporation of Columbus
Giving back and being involved in the community is something that Emc2 employees believe in. Organizations and activities that some of our employees have been a part of include:
  • Metro School
  • FLOW
  • MS Society
  • Easter Seals House
  • Boy/Girl Scouts
  • Volunteer Coaching
  • Volunteering at local schools to help in math/science areas

Gary Hattery attended the Youth Policy Summit on Energy Innovation on behalf of the invitation received by Emc2. The Youth Policy Summit (YPS) was hosted by The Keystone Center in partnership with American Electric Power for freshman students at The Metro School. The YPS offers students an experience that focuses on unique public policy mediation and stakeholder engagement training on a contemporary, science-intensive policy issue. Their experience emphasizes the research, negotiation, problem solving, and policy anaylisis skills they will need to be successful in their future endeavors in the professional world. This Youth Policy training will task students with analysis of our energy needs, combining their knowledge of Science, Technology. Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) with a societal overlay that takes into consideration the social, technological, economic and political aspects of their decisions.
