EPRI MRP A690 and LTCP Expert Panel Meeting (11/12 - 11/14)

EPRI Materials Reliability Program (MRP) will hold an Alloy 690 Expert Panel meeting on November 12 and 13, 2008 to plan research to address PWSCC degradation of Alloys 690/52/152 in PWR plants. The planned research will be addressed by an R&D collaboration among organizations involved in investigating PWSCC in Alloy 690 and its weld metals.

The EPRI MRP Expert Panel meeting will continue on November 14, 2008. The topic of the November 14 meeting will be to discuss status of research on the potential for Low Temperature Crack Propagation (LTCP) in nickel-based alloys in the PWR RCS system.

Several international organizations, including the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, are expected to participate.
