IPC – best paper finalist

The paper (# IPC-2018-78097) titled “Next Generation Ductile Fracture Arrest Analyses for High Energy Pipelines Based on Detail Coupling of CFD and FEA Approach”, has been selected as one of twelve (12) finalists in the International Pipeline Conference (IPC) 2018 Best Paper Competition out of 300 papers accepted for the conference.

The paper shows the preliminary results of on-going collaborative effort between Emc2 and NOVA Centre for Applied Research funded by TransCanada Pipelines Ltd. for which Dr. Uddin and Dr. Wilkowski are co-authors with K.K. Botros, E.J. Clavelle (NOVA), C. Guan(TCPL).

The selection for best paper is performed “by a team of highly respected industry subject matter experts based on originality, engineering significance, completeness, acknowledgement of work by others, organization, clarity and graphic quality”*.
